Welcome to Perrygrove in the Forest of Dean – the family’s favorite heritage railway!
Come and Meet Mr Chuffity and the Friendly Engines on Sunday 16th June. Listen to stories about his adventures throughout the day.

Stroll up into the trees to discover a mini- village of treehouses on the edge of the Forest of Dean! Fully accessible and safe for children – but fun too!
If you’re planning a school or group trip why not come to Perrygrove? We have lots to offer for an educational visit or an end of term treat.
Why not have a go at driving one of our engines? Just £5 for 20 minutes (plus usual entrance charge). Click for dates – Steam and Diesel available.
Our indoor village has 5 houses connected by secret passages – they’re just big enough for most grown-ups too!
Our Vintage Trains run on selected days throughout the year. You can view them the rest of the time in the carriage shed.
Christmas is a magical time of year at Perrygrove, festive refreshments, seasonal Treasure Hunt and of course Father Christmas comes down our chimney!
Wondering what to do with the kids? As you can see there’s lots of things to do for children and grandchildren on a steam train day out at Perrygrove – not just a steam train ride but lots of other ideas for the kids including treehouses, under-cover play, and our wonderful woodland to explore. We are adding new attractions for grown-ups too. Please allow at least 2 hours for your fun day out – many of our visitors stay all day!
