Christmas Twilight Trains

Please arrive 15 minutes before your booked time slot.

2023 DATES – 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, and 23 December. ADVANCE BOOKING ESSENTIAL.

Watch the musical arrival of the steam train at Perrygrove Station then take your pre-booked seats aboard the Twilight Express. Spot the illuminations along the line to Oakiron Station where you will meet Father Christmas and his helpers, (from your compartment). Everyone receives a hot chocolate and children receive a token gift, (these are wooden tree decorations unique to Perrygrove).

SEND FRIENDLY- please book the 15:35 slot if you would like to enjoy our SEND friendly twilight event. It will be a ‘toned down’ version and all the children will still see and recieve a gift from Father Christmas. Our actors are extremely experienced in this field and will adapt the event to suit. The train still needs to whistle for safety reasons, but we will keep it to a minimum.

NOTE: Due to it being dark during the evenings, the woods, treehouses and Foxy Hollow play area will be closed for safety reasons and dogs are not permitted for this event.

WHEELCHAIR USERS – please email us before you book if you are bringing a wheelchair user, so we can allocate you a comparment on an appropriate train.

Tickets are for a whole compartment – separated by glass from others. You can either book a Standard Compartment for 4-6 people maximum including babies or a small compartment for 2-3 people maximum including babies, (babies of any age are included in this number). Allow 1 hour for the experience.

During the evening our cafe will be open and there will be a market stall selling popcorn, candy floss, confectionery and light up toys.
