Ice Skating Evenings At Perrygrove – NEW

**BRAND NEW CHRISTMAS SKATING EVENINGS **

A magical ice skating evening, steam trains and Santa!

This December, watch your family glide into Christmas at a skating evening at Perrygrove Railway Adventure. Our North Pole (synthetic) Ice Rink experience combines the excitement of skating with the magic of a late afternoon/evening train ride through the forest and the option to have your picture taken with Father Christmas in his sleigh, (pay as you go), which includes a small token gift for each child.
From the moment you board the train, the adventure begins – your journey will take you through our corner of the Forest of Dean to our festively lit marquee, where the ice rink and hot chocolate café await. And back at the main station, your kids can also explore the Twilight Village — our much-loved indoor play space — great for hide and seek!

Included in your ticket

For £16.00 per person, you’ll enjoy:
  • A heritage train ride through the darkened woods to and from our North Pole marquee
  • A 30 minute session on our artificial ice rink, perfect for little ones and beginners, (ice skates included, no under 2’s allowed on the ice)
  • Access to our Hot Chocolate Café for warming drinks and festive treats
  • Time to explore and play inside the Twilight Village at our main station
There’s also the option to have a family picture with Santa in his sleigh which includes a token gift for each child (for a small additional charge on the day).
Please note: our outdoor play zones, including the Treetop Adventure and Foxy Hollow, will be closed during the hours of darkness for safety.

Evening entry without skating

Not planning to skate? No problem.
Evening entry to Perrygrove for this event can be booked without ice skating for just £9.00 per person. You’ll still enjoy:
  • A return train journey through the twilight woods
  • Entry to the North Pole marquee and café
  • Access to the Twilight Village indoor play space
  • The option to visit Santa, (extra charge applies on the day)
This is a great option for younger children or family members who prefer to watch the skaters while enjoying a festive drink and the twinkly vibe.

How to book

Please note: skating and general entry must be booked separately.

  1. Start by booking your General Entry Ticket (£9.00 per person). This give you a return train ride to the sparkling North Pole Marquee with festive fun and Twilight Village at Perrygrove Station. Skating is not included in this ticket.
  2. If you’d like to skate, you must add a Skating Session (£7.00 per skater) as a separate item during checkout. You will also be asked to select your preferred skating time slot during the booking process.
  3. Santa is an optional extra in the North Pole Marquee and you pay as you go.
  4. Under 2’s go free.
Spaces are limited, so we recommend booking early to secure your preferred date and skating time.

  • Open evenings: 13, 14, 20, 21, 22 and 23 December
  • Time: 3.30pm – 8.00pm (last entry 6.30pm)

Designed for families

This event is perfect for festive family fun. It’s a relaxed and joyful way to make festive memories, with space to play, ride, skate and explore. Dogs welcome.
Annual pass holders – your annual pass is not included in this due to it being a Christmas event.
