RAILWAYS IN THE UK

The Bure Valley Railway is, like us, 15 inch gauge, but much longer. It runs through beautiful Norfolk countryside and operates Boat Trains to Wroxham on the Norfolk Broads.
|

The Eastleigh Lakeside Railway is 7 ¼ and 10 ¼ gauge with a quite outstanding collection of engines - some of which are important to the history of miniature railways.
|

The Fairbourne Railay offers some of the best panoramic views of Snowdonia and takes passengers to the delightful ferry crossing to Barmouth.
|
|
Britain's oldest miniature railway is at
Rhyl. In recent years a huge transformation has taken place turning this 15" gauge line from a shadow of its original glory to, probably, the best condition it has ever been in. This has been a remarkable achievement.

The Rudyard Lake Railway runs alongside a beautiful lake in Staffordshire.

The 15" gauge Sherwood Forest Railway has lots of character and is in a farm park where there is lots to do.

The Bolebroke Castle Miniature Railway is an interesting 7¼" gauge miniature railway
