The canopy over the main entrance to Perrygrove station was built using new timber in 1996. It was painted professionally immediately after construction and again four years later. The boarding has rotted away completely - bits have started falling off. The quality of modern gloss paint is so bad that we no longer use it on any timber at Perrygrove. I resent the way the paint makers sell such rubbish.
