Perrygrove is a 15 inch gauge railway. This gauge has most often been used for pleasure railways, but sometimes it has found uses for industrial purposes or freight traffic, in the UK principally at Eaton Hall in Cheshire, Ravenglass in Cumbria, and a cement works in Kent. It has also found uses in other countries and the very similar 40cm gauge has been widely used. Recently 15" gauge has attracted considerable attention from modellers because it really is the Minimum Gauge for a "proper" railway as opposed to a miniature line. Here are some of the internet references for model makers:

Books specifically on modelling Minimum Gauge railways are few and far between. I used to have a link to one - but the link's gone, like most of them do eventually. Well, this is a minority interest!
